“ Their Williamsburg location is nicely decorated with plants and floor-to-ceiling windows. No doubt this is my preferred location. Their staff were very sweet and passionately recommended me different pastries. *Dirty Chai, Chai Latte Hidden Grounds is known for the variety of chai menu. I’ve tried Iced Dirty Chai at their Jersey City location and I really loved it. The top of the chai was so foamy. The drinks were both lightly sweetened with a hint of spices. In terms of sweet levels, chai latte is sweeter than dirty chai. *Tiramisu Donut, Blueberry Donut I don’t eat donuts but these ones surprised me. It was like a donut-shaped muffin. They were not too sweet, and you could tell there wasn’t any artificial flavoring. Here are the two staff favorite flavors: the blueberry one was served warm with blueberries studded inside. While my mom loved the blueberry donut, I preferred the tiramisu one. To me, it was more like a chai tiramisu donut as I could taste a kick of spices. *Salmon Everything Bagel Sandwich They offer plain/everything bagel and plain/scallion cream cheese. The bagel was warm and fluffy. The everything seasoning wasn’t very fragrant but complemented well with salmon and plain cream chese. A solid savory choice. *Vegan Tahini Choc Chip Cookie Vegan and gluten free. It was chewy and not too sweet. The seasalt on top complexified the flavor notes of chocolate chips. *Monkey Bread My first time having a monkey bread. After heating it up, the top edges were nicely crisped. It tasted like a mix of cinnamon roll and french toast imo. ”

“ I have loved Hidden Grounds for a while and I’m not sure how I just found out that there’s one in Williamsburg and one in Manhattan. I used to go to New Jersey just for their chai. I love their regular chai, but their lavender and rose ones are pretty good too! Their pastries are a beauty too. They look good and they taste good. The atmosphere is great, service is great and over all, one of my favorite places. I highly recommend it for authentic Indian flavors in their pastries and drinks. ”

“ First visit-discovered as we popped in to escape a strong wind. We received a warm welcome and courteous service in a very relaxing atmosphere albeit with limited seating. They serve a great coffee blend and selection of pastries, and I look forward to a repeat visit. ”

“ You want authentic chai? This is the real deal. Nothing cookie cutter here.. they prep the chai on stove top (so expect it not to come out in seconds because they need to prepare it). Has the perfect flavor/spice profile I enjoy in chai and you can even ask to alter the sweetness level to your liking. Really enjoyed this cup! ”

“ Really nice coffee shop. A bit expensive, but worth it for the unique flavors. We had pourover coffees, 2 donuts (5 each) a croissant (6) and a stovetop masala chai. The Pink Bourbon Columbia was really unique. If you like pourover coffee you should give it a try. The croissant was unfortunately stale but the staff gladly let us exchange it for another donut. Very complex spicy flavors in the donuts, not overly sweet at all. The chai was a little too milky, could use more spice. But I like that they make it stovetop. Great place to work with a laptop. Fully wheelchair accessible. ”

“ I can’t recommend this place enough when it comes to drink selection! They have so many chais and specialty coffees. I had a rose chai latte and it was delicious. The baristas were kind and made the drinks quickly despite it being a busy Saturday. There are a decent amount of places to sit. People in my group indulges in some of the pastries. They were delicious! ”
